Note:

  • While we have set a theme for each issue, we always welcome good articles related to any aspect of Irish genealogy.
  • If you have an article, send it now. We love to get material early.
  • us if you want to discuss your idea for an article.

Possible topics:

  • First person stories, whether successful or not, are helpful to others planning their research. Someone may benefit from your experiences!
  • Lists involving Irish: passenger lists, cemetery inscriptions, church records, census transcripts, etc.
  • Contemporary letters to or from Ireland.
  • Travels in Ireland and doing research there.

You do not have to be a member to submit an article or story.


How to submit your information:
  • File on a disk, by mail.
  • Typed text, by mail (keep a copy for yourself)
  • E-mail attachment, send to the Editor of The Septs

  • Double-space your writing.
  • Include a copy of an interesting document or photograph, if appropriate.
  • Submissions normally will not be returned.
  • Readers of The Septs appreciate knowing where material in an article came from. Please supply footnotes and / or a bibliography.
