IGSI Pedigrees and Family Trees
In the Fall of 2009, IGSI will create a database of searchable pedigrees and family sheets for members to use. This new project will include family trees submitted by current members and pedigree sheets that IGSI has collected over the years.
Help with this new project.
- Send IGSI your GEDCOM file. You can save a file directly from your genealogy software. Create the file and send it to pedigree@IrishGenealogical.org. IGSI will upload the file directly into our database.
- As the member submitting the file, you can access it and make changes as necessary. No one else will have access to make changes to your file.
- You will have an 'Online name' and email address available for others to contact you about your information.
- The member can access the file and make changes whenever they wish. No one else will have access to make changes to your file.
- The member will have their 'Online name' and email address available for others to contact them about their information.
- Have your previously-submitted family pedigree chart included in the database.
- A team of volunteers will enter the information from the pedigree charts located in our files. Some of these charts are 25 years old but contain a wealth of information.
- We believe these pedigree charts can be of use in spite of their age and lack of updated information as they may point others in a new direction to search.
- Note: If you have submitted a pedigree chart to IGSI in the past but prefer that it not be placed on our website, please contact IGSI by August 31, 2009, at pedigree@IrishGenealogical.org
