Welcome to the Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI). We are a non-profit genealogical society dedicated to assisting our members and others in the discovery of their Irish ancestry.
Founded over 25 years ago by a small group of people interested in sharing their knowledge, IGSI has since developed into a well respected Irish genealogical society with over 1,700 members in 10 countries, and an extensive library and research facility.
We offer you a...
- research library - with more than 2,500 books, CDs, family histories, and periodicals specific to Irish genealogy and history (along with the Minnesota Genealogical Society's library of Minnesota and other ethnic group records)
- research help - pointers for you to follow in those brick wall situations or, for a small charge, research performed by our library staff;
- website - featuring instructional materials, surnames that our members are researching, and online factual databases not easily found elsewhere on the Internet or in libraries around the world;
- quarterly journal The Septs - with educational articles and research tips;
- bookstore - purchase publications and research materials not commonly available;
- learning opportunities classes, speakers and an annual conference to illuminate the shady corners of researching.
We are located in South St.Paul, Minnesota, USA
