Index to IGSI Periodicals
The IGSI "Periodical Indexing Project" (PIP) is a search-able index of
articles from the periodicals in the IGSI library collection. We created the
Index to help members find and access articles from our library, and to order
copies of articles from our library.
To Search - Use the fields below to search for articles of
interest. Since the index contains about 12 thousand articles, only the first
100 records for any query are returned. If your query returns many records
(especially if it returns 100, since there are probably more) either streamline
your query by specifying more criteria, or use the "sort" feature.
To
Select Articles - Select a returned article by clicking the box
preceding it. When finished with a given search, click "Record Picks" to save
your choices. You may continue to search and select other articles, or review
your list of selected articles. The site will keep track of your
selections.
To Email Your List - When finished, you may save
your list by printing it (File > Print), email the list to an address of your
choice, or email it to IGSI as a request for copies of the articles. The cost
will be estimated in US dollars: $5.00/base fee, $0.50/lookup, $0.25/page
copied, 6.5% sales tax for Minnesota residents, and $0.37/per oz. postage in the
USA.
NOTES:
- We've included genealogically significant articles or entries, generally
exactly as published (same spelling and punctuation).
- Articles of dated or limited information (like meetings, editors' letters,
or general reviews) are omitted.
- The IGSI collection is not complete for all issues of each periodical.
- Some periodicals owned by IGSI have not yet been indexed.
- Ireland is treated as one country because so many of the records are mixed
historically.
- The PIP is copyrighted by IGSI.
