This center holds a large collection of research material, such as: Griffith's Valuation, Tithe Applotment Records, Civil Records, Tombstone Transcriptions, Deeds and Memorials, Passenger Lists, Estate Papers, Workhouse Records and several important Legal and Archival Collections. In addition the center has on microfilm the complete set of Birth, Marriage and Death Registers (B.M.D.) for the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin up to 1880, which includes Carlow and parts of Laois, Offaly, Kilkenny, Wicklow and Wexford.
- They will do research into these records for a fee.
- They publish a journal titled, "Carlow Past and Present".
