They have an extensive range of historical and genealogical material relative to East Clare. Also publish an annual Journal which includes graveyard inscriptions from one site annually. Will do research for a fee. All volunteers. The famous Dr. Edward McLysaght is interred in the grounds of the heritage centre. An interesting place to visit even if you are not doing research in the area.

This center is a reference library and research center dedicated to the collection of material on any aspect of County Clare. It is open to the public free of charge and is part of the Clare County Library service (located next door to the library). The Center also houses a collection of Irish interest materials.

They have published several books on Clare, available through Clare Local Studies Project (CLASP Press), Clare County Library Headquarters, Mill Road, Ennis, Co Clare.

IGSI has most of their publications and brochures.
