Have indexed ALL the parish registers for County Offaly and some in the neighboring counties of Laois and Westmeath. Approximately half of the graveyards have been transcribed and there are books for sale covering this information.
This Centre holds a card index to the Birth, Marriage and Death entries in the KingÕs County Chronicle from: 1845-1865. In addition, the Society has been collecting and indexing old wills, estate records, land records, etc. The Tithe Applotment Books and Griffith's Valuation for Offaly have been computerized as well as the 1821 Census of Ballybritt Barony (Birr area) consisting of 10,000 names.
