Submit You GEDCOM File
Members who want to place their family trees into IGSIÕs Pedigree Database can do so by the following steps. These files are for IGSI use only and will not be given to any other parties.
Step one: Create a GEDCOM-format of your family tree. Use your genealogy program to save as a GEDCOM file. Your saved GEDCOM file should end with the extension of .ged.
Step two: Email your file to Pedigree@IrishGenealgical.org.
- Name, Member Number and Email: You will need to provide us with your name, member number and email that you can be reached.
- Family Tree User Name: Each family tree you submit will need a user name. Should the name already be used numbers will be added to make your tree unique.
- Password: Your password will remain private. If someone else is using the code you will be contacted to select another.
At this point your tree will be uploaded into the database for others to search. You will have the ability to change and add new members to your tree only.
